Los Premios de Artesanía de la Región de Murcia han recaído en esta edición de 2017 en Jesús Griñán S.L, en los artesanos Carmen Martínez, Joaquín Plana, Jesús María Quintero y en la Fundación Prometeo.

Según han informado fuentes de la Administración regional, el objetivo de los premios es reconocer de manera institucional las actuaciones excelentes y ejemplares en el campo de la artesanía, impulsar el desarrollo y la competitividad de los artesanos y sus asociaciones, e incentivar acciones de diseño, innovación y adaptación al mercado. El Premio de Artesanía de la Región de Murcia, que reconoce el conjunto de una obra y una carrera consolidada, ha recaído en la empresa artesana Belenes Murcia, Jesús Griñán S. L.

l Premio Producto Artesano, que reconoce aquellos productos o colecciones artesanas realizadas y comercializadas en los dos años anteriores a la fecha de publicación de la convocatoria, ha recaído en la colección ‘Glass of the Dawn’de la artesana Carmen Martínez.

Para reconocer al emprendedor o empresa emprendedora que haya destacado por la introducción de nuevos conceptos en el sector, ha sido para Tictactoys, juguetes de lana del artesano Joaquín Plana.

Promociona Artesanía para Entidades Privadas. Reconoce a las entidades u organismos privados que presenten programas, campañas o iniciativas de promoción de la artesanía, y ha sido para Esparte, del artesano Jesús María Quintero.

Belén Artesano Navidad. Reconoce a entidades sin ánimo de lucro de la Región de Murcia que presenten un proyecto de montaje del Belén para su instalación en el Palacio de San Esteban. En esta ocasión, el galardón ha recaído en el montaje propuesto por la Fundación Prometeo.

Los galardonados con los Premios de Artesanía recibirán una dotación económica dependiendo de su categoría. Así, el Premio Regional de Artesanía está dotado con 3.000 euros; el Premio Producto Artesano, con 2.000 euros; los premios Emprendimiento Artesano y Promociona Artesanía para Entidades Privadas, 1.500 euros; y el Belén Artesano Navidad, 7.000 euros.

Una vez finalizado el plazo de presentación de candidaturas, optan a los galardones Belenes Murcia Jesús Griñán, María Luisa Peaguda y Jesús María Quintero Gómez (Premio Regional de Artesanía 2017); María Luisa Peaguda, Isabel Alcantud y Carmen Martínez Azorín (Producto Artesano 2017); Joaquín Plana Belmonte (Emprendimiento Artesano 2017); CREA, Asociación de Artesanos de la Región de Murcia, María Luisa Peaguda y Jesús María Quintero (Premio Promociona Artesanía para entidades privadas 2017); y Asociación Cultural Peña La Pava y Fundación Prometeo (Premio Belén Artesano Navidad). El Premio Promociona Artesanía para entidades públicas ha quedado desierto al no tener candidaturas.

Los proyectos y obras de los candidatos se pueden visitar hasta el 15 de septiembre en el Centro Regional de Artesanía de Murcia y los ciudadanos que lo deseen podrán emitir su voto y depositarlo en una urna habilitada para ello. Aunque un jurado experto decidirá los ganadores de cada una de las categorías, el candidato que obtenga más votos entre la ciudadanía, sumará un voto.

El director general de Comercio, Consumo y Simplificación Administrativa, Francisco Abril, destacó que con estos premios «queremos reconocer el buen trabajo que realizan los artesanos de la Región y premiar las actuaciones excelentes y ejemplares en el sector, para impulsar el desarrollo y la competitividad de los artesanos y asociaciones artesanas».

Asimismo, remarcó «la gran importancia y representatividad» del sector artesano en la Región, que aplica el diseño, las nuevas tecnologías y la innovación en la elaboración de productos y proyectos dirigidos a diversos segmentos del mercado». Además, Abril aseguró que «la artesanía genera empleo especializado y se trata de un yacimiento de emprendedores».
